How to Connect the Turntable to an Integrated Amplifier or Component System

  1. Turn off the unit and the connected device.
    Disconnect the AC power supply cord from the socket before making any connections.
  2. Connect the PHONO cable.
    Connect the PHONO cable to the external output terminals of the turntable and the external input terminals of the connected device.
    • When using the external output terminals, do not connect the PHONO earth lead.
    • Do not connect these outputs to the PHONO input terminals of the connected device, as this may produce abnormally loud and distorted sound.
  3. Set the external output switch to "ON".
    Make this setting while the unit is turned off.
  4. Connect the AC power supply cord.
    Insert the AC power supply cord up to a point just before the round hole, then connect it to a household mains socket.
    • Confirm the wattage of the AC outlet on the connected equipment before using it for this unit.
  5. Confirm the connections before powering on.
    • Do not simultaneously connect both the PHONO terminal output and external output terminals to the same connected device, as this may cause noise and/or popping sound.
    • Do not operate the external output switch or connect/disconnect cables while the unit is turned on.
  6. If using the PHONO output terminals instead:
    • Be sure to connect the PHONO earth lead. Otherwise, mains hum or buzzing noise may occur.
