Battery is low on my Technics earbuds

  1. Before you start:
    • Make sure there’s no dust or water on the earphone charging terminals, the charging cradle terminal section, or the earphones themselves. Wipe them clean first.
    • Hold the USB plug straight when plugging in or out to avoid damage or cause malfunction.
    • Confirm the (L) and (R) markings and align the earphones correctly in the cradle so the charging contacts meet.
    • Recommended charging temperature: 10°C to 35°C.
  2. Connect power to the charging cradle:
    • Use the included USB Type-C charging cord to connect the cradle to a USB PD-supported AC adapter (sold separately), or to a computer’s USB-C port.
    • If using a computer, ensure it’s powered on (charging may not work in sleep/standby).

  3. Insert the earphones into the cradle:
    • Place both earbuds into the cradle. For EAH-AZ100, the cradle’s LED (light blue) flashes once on each side before charging. If it doesn’t, reseat the earbuds.
For any other model not listed refer to your models operating instructions for model specific LED indicator light status.
    • For EAH-AZ80 / EAH-AZ60M2 / EAH-AZ40M2: the earphone status LED quickly flashes red twice, then lights red while charging.
For any other model not listed refer to your models operating instructions for model specific LED indicator light status.
  4. Close the cradle lid:
    • The cradle LED shows battery level (red, yellow, or green) and flashes slowly while the cradle itself is charging.
    • Charging completes when the relevant LED turns off (earphone LED for earbuds; cradle status LED for the cradle).
  5. Charging time (empty to full):
    • Charging the earphones and cradle at the same time takes about 3.0 hours.

Note:

  • You cannot turn on the earphones or connect to a bluetooth device when they are charging in the cradle.
  • You can charge using a sperately sold AC adapter.
