Ver.1.6 Nov. 18, 2025 Video recording stopped when the wireless connection to Support for LUMIX Smartphone App, LUMIX Flow or LUMIX Lab was interrupted. This phenomenon has been improved.

  1. Improved compatibility
  2. Support for LUMIX Smartphone App, LUMIX Flow ver.1.3 or above.
    • "LUMIX Flow" is now available for use.
    • External monitor function allows applying LUTs to live view.
    • External monitor function enables displaying multiple frame markers.
    • External monitor function allows showing focus frames.
      * When using the external monitor function via wireless connection (Wi-Fi), the camera's video recording will stop if you turn off your smartphone's Bluetooth or exit the app during video recording. Please do not turn off Bluetooth or close the app while using the external monitor function. If you want to prioritize the camera's video recording, please use a wired connection (USB).
  3. Additional Video Function
    • Added "Shutter Speed Limiter" to the video menu.
  4. Other Function Improvements and Enhancements
    • Constant preview available when using flash.
    • The startup speed when turning on the power has been improved.
    • 17:9 aspect ratio for proxy videos has been added.
    • When registering both photo and video menus into My Menu, common items will be reflected in both modes if registered in either menu.
    • Operational stability has been improved.

  1. Multiple frame marker display feature has been added
    • Up to 3 selected frame markers can be displayed simultaneously.
  2. Compatible to the recording format "MP4(Lite)"
    • The option for the low-bitrate video format "MP4(Lite)" can now be selected. (* 3.8K (3840x2560) 29.97p 50Mbps)
  3. Compatible with the new features on LUMIX smartphone app "LUMIX Lab (Ver.1.3 or higher)"
    • Remote shooting is now available.
    • Shutter remote control is now available.
    • Wireless IP Streaming feature is now available.
    • Transferring images selected on camera is now available.
  4. Feature changes due to security enhancements
    • When directly connecting the camera and smartphone via Wi-Fi, the connection has been changed to always require password authentication. (The [Wi-Fi Password] menu has been removed.)
    • The [TKIP] encryption method is no longer supported when connecting to Wi-Fi via an access point.
    • The [No Encryption] option in network authentication is no longer supported when connecting to Wi-Fi via an access point.
    • Wired LAN streaming feature (RTP/RTSP) has been removed.
    • The image transfer feature to PC via Wi-Fi has been removed. (Only European / Ukrainian models)
    • The streaming feature via RTMP has been removed. (Only European / Ukrainian models)
  5. Other improvements
    • Improved operational stability.
Ver.1.2 Nov. 6, 2024 Improved the noise in high luminance areas of image generated in the specific shooting environment when recording in ProRes RAW mode
