How to adjust the focus manually. - HC-V180

Applicable Recording modes

If auto focusing is difficult due to the conditions, then use Manual Focus.

Switch to manual mode.

1. When MF assist function is used, Select [ MENU ].
2. Select [ RECORD SETUP ].
3. Select [ MF ASSIST ].
4. Select [ ON ].
5. Touch [ Scroll ] to display the manual icon.
6. Touch [ FOCUS ].
7. Touch [ MF ] to change to Manual Focus. [ MF ] Appears on the screen.
8. Adjust the focus by touching [ MF+ Manual Focus Plus ] or [ MF- Manual Focus Minus ].
   • [ MF+ Manual Focus Plus ] - To focus on a close subject.
   • [ MF- Manual Focus Minus ] - To focus on a faraway subject.

The in-focus area is displayed in blue. The normal screen returns approximately 2 seconds after you finish bringing the subject into focus.Touch [ FOCUS ] to end the adjustment.

• Touch [ FOCUS ] to end the adjustment.
• When [ MF ASSIST ] is [ OFF ], the blue area is not displayed.
• To restore Auto Focus, touch [ AF ] in Step 3 or change the Recording Mode to the Intelligent Auto Mode.

Note

The blue display does not appear on the images actually recorded.
