Step 1: Connect the Optical Cable

  • Locate the OPT OUT port on your external device (TV, DVD player, etc.).
  • OPT OUT is sometimes labeled as DIGITAL OUT on certain devices.
  • Plug one end of the optical cable into the OPT OUT (or DIGITAL OUT) port of your external device.
  • Locate the OPT IN port on the back of your SC-BMAX5 or SC-BMAX10.
