How to Pair Bluetooth Technics Bluetooth Turntable

Verify the following before pairing:

Do not connect cables to the PHONO output terminals and PHONO earth terminal when playing back through Bluetooth®.
Also Check the user's manual of your Bluetooth® device before connecting.
Bluetooth® version 2.0 or earlier Bluetooth® devices are not supported.
Place the Bluetooth® device close to the unit within 1 m (3.3 ft)
You can register up to 8 devices with this unit. If a 9th device is paired, the device that has not been used the longest may be replaced. To use a deregistered device again, register it again.
The volume cannot be set from this unit. Adjust the volume from your Bluetooth® device.
Lower the volume on your Bluetooth ® device before connecting. Loud audio output may occur on connection.

Set the “PHONO” - “LINE/ ” switch on the rear of the unit to “LINE/ ”.
Press [] on the top of the unit to turn it on.
Put your Bluetooth® device into pairing mode.
Check the user’s manual of your Bluetooth® device for instructions on how to put it into pairing mode (On Bluetooth® device scan for SL-40CBT).
Press [] on the top of the unit to pair it with your Bluetooth® device.
- If no Bluetooth® devices are registered, the unit will enter pairing mode automatically when [] is pressed. The indicator [] will blink every 2 seconds to indicate that the turntable is in pairing mode.
- If there are registered devices, it will automatically attempt to connect to the last connected device.
- The indicator [] on the unit lights up when pairing is completed with the device connected.
Once the indicator [] is lit, operate your Bluetooth® device to start audio playback through the connected Bluetooth® receiver.

Check that the “PHONO” - “LINE/” switch is set to “LINE/ ”.
When toggling the “PHONO” - “LINE/ ” switch, be sure to turn off each device, and disconnect the AC mains lead from the socket.
Do not connect cables to PHONO earth terminal and PHONO output terminals. It may cause noise and/or popping sound.
The indicator [] will blink to show the type of audio codec being used immediately after the connection is established. (aptXTM: blinks three times, SBC: blinks one time)
The Bluetooth® device name of this unit is “SL-40CBT”.
To pair a second or subsequent device, pressing and holding [] for two or more seconds (until the indicator blinks every 2 seconds) puts the unit into pairing mode.
While the unit is in the ready state, pressing [] will reconnect to the last paired device.
After a certain period of time (approx. two minutes), the pairing mode will automatically end and the Bluetooth® function will enter the ready status. To perform pairing, try again.
After a certain period of ready status (approx. two minutes), the Bluetooth® function will turn off. To use it again, press [].
This unit does not support pairing with a Bluetooth® transmitter (such as smartphones, tablets, or PCs).
You can only connect to a Bluetooth® receiver (such as external Bluetooth® speakers or headphones).
If pairing fails, try again.
There is no guarantee that this unit can perform radio communication with all Bluetooth® devices.
