How to record night scenes with the iHandheld Night Shot feature.

Recording Mode for DMC-ZS50
When [
Handheld Night] is detected while taking handheld night shots, pictures of the night scenery will be taken at a high burst speed and composed into a single picture. This mode is useful if you want to take stunning night shots with minimal jitter and noise, without using a tripod
To Turn On:
Press [
MENU] → [
IA Mode] or [
IA Plus Mode] → [
iHandheld Night Shot] → [
ON]/[
OFF]
For models DMC-FZ300, DMC-GF7
Press [
MENU] → [
Record] → [
iHandheld Night Shot] → [
ON]/[
OFF]
- The angle of view will be slightly narrower.
- For model DMC-GF7, a message notifying that multiple pictures will be taken is displayed. Do not move the camera during the continuous shooting after pressing the shutter button.
- Do not move the camera during the continuous shooting after pressing the shutter button.
- Flash is fixed to [ Flash Off ] which forces the flash off.
For model DMC-FZS50
- Press [ MENU ]/[ SET ].
- Press [ ▲ ]/[ ▼ ]/[ ◄ ]/[ ► ] to select [ REC ] and press [ MENU/SET ].
- Press [ ▲ ]/[ ▼ ] to select [ iHandheld Night Shot ] and press [ MENU/SET].
- Press [ ▲ ]/[ ▼ ] to select either [ ON ] or [ OFF ] and press [ MENU/SET ].
Not available Not available in these cases:
- [ iHandheld Night Shot ] does not work for the pictures taken during a motion picture recording.
- This function is not available in the following cases:
- When [ Quality ] is set to [ Raw/JPEG Low Compression ], [ Raw/JPEG High Compression ], [ Raw ]
- When [ Ex. Tele. Conv. ] in the [ REC ] is set.
- When using [ Time Lapse Shot ]
- When using [ Strong Motion Animation ] only when [ Auto Shooting ] is set.
