How to set a standing time.

Some recipes call for a standing time after cooking. After you have programmed the cooking power level and time, program the standing time.

The following answer applies to most Microwave Models. If your model is not listed For more information refer to the operating instructions for your model.

  1. Press [ Micro Power Micro Power ].
  2. Set cooking time, tapping [ + ] / [ - ] or swipe the slider bar to 3 minutes.
  3. Touch [ Timer clock ] once.
  4. Set stand time, tapping [ + ] / [ - ] or swipe the slider bar to 5 minutes.
  5. Press [ Start ].Cooking will start. after cooking, stand time will count down without oven operating.

Some recipes call for a standing time after cooking.

  1. Press [ Microwave ] until the desired power level appears in the display. 1000W is the highest and 100W is the lowest have a max cooking time of 30 minutes. For other power levels, the max. time is 1 hour and 30 minutes.
  2. Set cooking time by turning the [ Start/Select ] dial.
  3. Press [ Timer/Clock ] once.
  4. Set desired standing time by turning the dial (up to 1 hour and 30 minutes).
  5. Press [ Start/Select ] (dial). Cooking will begin. After cooking, standing time will count down without oven operating. 

Notes

  • If the oven door is opened during Kitchen Timer, Standing Time, Delay Start, the time in the display window will continue to count down.
  • Standing Time and Delay Start can not be programmed together with auto programs (such as Defrost, Sensor Reheat, Auto/Sensor Cook and Steam Clean) and preheating. This is to prevent the starting temperature of food from rising before defrosting or cooking begins. A change is starting temperature could cause inaccurate results.
  • When using Standing  or Delay Start, it is up to 2 power stages. 
  • If the time exceeds one hour, it will count down in units of minutes. If less than one hour, the time will count down in units of seconds.
  • An “ H ” will appear in the display to denote hours.

Notes:

  1. For reheating, use PL10 (HIGH) for liquids, PL7 (MED-HIGH) for most foods, and PL6 (MEDIUM) for dense foods.

Do not overcook.

This oven requires less time to cook than older units. Overcooking will cause food to dry out and may cause a fire. A microwave oven's cooking power tells you the amount of microwave power available for cooking.


Stage Cooking:

  • For more than one stage of cooking, repeat steps 1 and 2 for each stage of cooking before pressing [ Start ].
  • The maximum number of stages for cooking is three.
  • When operating, two beeps will sound between each stage.
  • Five beeps will sound at the end of the entire sequence.  

Note:

  1. After running the oven at PL10 power continously for 30 min, if the cook process is not complete, the oven will automatically adjust to PL8 power to protect the microwave and complete the cook cycle.
  2. If you want to cook again at PL10 power, you will need to wait 15 min before restarting.

  2. Set the cooking time, turn the Auto/Sensor Cook dial. PL 10 and KEEP WARM have max. cooking time of 30 minutes. For other power levels, the max. time is 1 hour and 30 minutes.
  3. Press [ Timer/Clock ], once.
  4. Set the standing time, turn the Auto/Sensor Cook dial. (up to 1 hour and 30 minutes.)
  5. Press [ Start ] dial.
    • Cooking will start. After cooking, stand time will count down without oven operating.
    • The timer will start and then beep twice at the end of cooking time (the beginning of standing time). Five beeps will sound when standing time is done. 
    • Five beeps will sound when standing time is done. 
  6. Standing Time and Delay Start can not be programmed together with auto programs (such as Defrost, Sensor Reheat, Auto/Sensor Cook )and preheating. This is to prevent the starting temperature of food from rising before defrosting or cooking begins. A change is starting temperature could cause inaccurate results. When using Standing Time or Delay Start, it is up to 2 power stages.
