How to set the display method of Manual Focus (MF) Assist function. - Instructional Video

DC-GH5, DC-GH5S, DC-G9, DC-GX9, DMC-GF7, DC-G100

  • Press [ MENU ] → [ Custom ] → [ Focus / Release Shutter ] → [ MF Assist ]
    • For model DMC-GF7:
      • Press [ MENU ] → [ Custom ] → [ MF Assist ]
    • Available settings vary depending on the lens used.
Manual Focus Control Options
[ Lens / AF Tracking ] The screen is enlarged by operating the lens or by pressing [ AF Tracking ].
Lens / Focus The screen is enlarged by operating the lens.
[ AF Tracking ] The screen is enlarged by pressing [ AF Tracking ]
[ OFF ] The screen will not be enlarged.
Manual Focus Control Options (With lens model H-FS12032 attached)
[ ON ] Focus can be adjusted when you press [ AF Tracking ] and the screen that lets you set the area to be focused is displayed.
[ OFF ] Focus can be adjusted when you press [ AF Tracking ] and the screen that lets you set the area to be focused is not displayed.

MF Assist is not displayed in the following cases

  • When recording motion pictures.
  • When using the Digital Zoom.
  • For models DC-GH5, DC-G9
    • When recording with [ 6K Pre-Burst ]
  • For models DC-GH5, DC-GH5S, DC-G9, DC-GX9, DC-G100
    • When recording with [ 4K Pre-Burst ]
