How to use the iHDR feature.
Applicable Recording modes
When there is, for example, strong contrast between the background and the subject, [
iHDR] records multiple still pictures with differing exposures and combines them to create a single still picture rich in gradation.
- [ iHDR ] works automatically as needed. When activated, [ HDR ] will be displayed on the screen.
Turning on iHDR
- Press [ MENU ] → [ Intelligent Auto ] / [ Intelligent Auto Plus ] → [ iHDR ] → [ ON / OFF ]
- For models DMC-FZ300, DMC-G7, DMC-GF7, DC-ZS70
- Press [ MENU ] → [ Rec ] → [ iHDR ] → [ ON ] / [ OFF ]
Notes
- The angle of view becomes narrow slightly
- After the shutter button has been pressed, do not move the camera during the burst operation.
- Since a burst of still pictures are combined after they have been recorded, it will be a few moments before you can record another picture.

- You cannot take the next picture until the combination of pictures is complete.
- A moving subject may be recorded with unnatural blurs.
