Troubleshooting Sound Issues on Technics Earphones

Experiencing sound issues such as audio cutting out, excessive noise, or poor quality can be frustrating. Follow these troubleshooting steps to resolve these issues.

Note: Refer to your models Operating Manual for model specific information.

  1. Check Bluetooth® Connection
    • Confirm that the earphones and Bluetooth® device are connected correctly.
    • Verify that music or audio is actively playing on your Bluetooth® device.
    • Ensure the earbuds are not out of range from the Bluetooth® device (keep within the typical 10m/33ft range, with no obstructions).
  2. Inspect for Physical Blockages in the Eartips
  3. Ensure Proper Codec Support
    • When using LDAC and multi-point together, change the “LDAC playback sound quality setting” and “connection setting” of the playback device from “prioritize sound quality” to “best effort” or “prioritize connectivity” to lower the bit rate. You may not be able to change the settings on some playback devices. For details, please refer to the manual of the playback device
    • Check if the correct codec is being used in the audio settings of the connected device.
  4. Eliminate Potential Interference
    • Minimize interference from other wireless devices such as Wi-Fi routers, microwaves, or other Bluetooth devices by moving away or turning them off if you are not using them.
    • Disconnect other devices connected to Bluetooth if they might be causing signal interference.
    • Depending on the signal conditions, radio waves in the same 2.4 GHz band as Bluetooth® may interfere and cause sound skipping
  5. Confirm Earbud Status
    • Power On: Ensure that both earbuds are powered on.
    • Volume Level: Check that the volume is not set too low on the Bluetooth® device or the earbuds.
    • Battery Levels: Verify that both earbuds have sufficient charge. Place them in the charging case for at least 10 minutes to ensure proper charging.
  6. Reconnect via Bluetooth®
    • Unpair the earbuds from the Bluetooth® device and perform a fresh connection.
    • Open your device's Bluetooth® settings and remove the Technics earbuds from the paired devices list.
    • Follow the Operating Manual steps to pair the earbuds again (refer to “Connecting to Bluetooth” in the manual).
    • Ensure the earbuds are properly synced with each other and the device.
  7. Reset the Earbuds
  8. Update Firmware
    • Connect your earbuds to the Technics Audio Connect App and ensure they are updated to the latest firmware version.
    • Firmware updates often resolve performance issues and improve connectivity.
    • Refer to the Firmware Updates or detailed instructions.
  9. Test with Another Device
    • Connect your earbuds to another Bluetooth® device to check if the issue persists.
    • This will help identify if the problem is with the earbuds or the original device.
  10. Advanced Troubleshooting: Single Earbud Not Working
    • Place both earbuds in the charging case and ensure they are seated properly. Misalignment can prevent one earbud from syncing or charging.
    • Remove both earbuds and check if the LED indicators flash correctly.
    • Refer to your model's Operating Manual for LED indicator meanings.
  11. Battery Levels
    • Low battery levels can impact sound quality. Ensure the device is fully charged before use.
