Troubleshooting - The screen turns black. - Blu-ray players

When the HDMI authentication takes place a black screen may be displayed. Select your model number from the lists below as to why the display is black. If your model is not on the list Refer to your models Operating Manual for specific procedure.

Model DMP-B200

  • When “24p(4K)/24p Output” is set to “24p(4K)” or “24p”.
  • When the display is switched between 2D and 3D images.
  • When you quit the 4K playback of a still picture by displaying another screen, including the HOME menu.
  • When “24p Output” is set to “On”, HDMI authentication takes place and a black screen is displayed:

  • When “24p Output” is set to “On”, HDMI authentication takes place and a black screen is displayed:

  • When “24p Conversion” is set to “On”.
  • When “24p Output” is set to “Auto”.
  • When the display is switched between 2D and 3D images.
  • When you quit the 4K playback by displaying another screen, including the HOME menu.
  • When “HDMI Output Settings of Music Playback” is set to “Sound Quality Priority”
  • When “24p Output” is set to “On”, HDMI authentication takes place and a black screen is displayed:

  • When “24p Conversion” is set to “On”.
  • When “24p Output” is set to “Auto”.
  • When the display is switched between 2D and 3D images.
