How to adjust the focus manually. - HC-V180

Applicable Recording modes

If auto focusing is difficult due to the conditions, then use Manual Focus.

Switch to manual mode.

1. When MF assist function is used, Select [MENU].
2. Select [RECORD SETUP].
3. Select [MF ASSIST].
4. Select [ON].
5. Touch [Scroll] to display the manual icon.
6. Touch [FOCUS].
7. Touch [MF] to change to Manual Focus. [MF] Appears on the screen.
8. Adjust the focus by touching [MF+Manual Focus Plus] or [MF-Manual Focus Minus].
   • [MF+Manual Focus Plus] - To focus on a close subject.
   • [MF-Manual Focus Minus] - To focus on a faraway subject.

The in-focus area is displayed in blue. The normal screen returns approximately 2 seconds after you finish bringing the subject into focus.Touch [FOCUS] to end the adjustment.

• Touch [FOCUS] to end the adjustment.
• When [MF ASSIST] is [OFF], the blue area is not displayed.
• To restore Auto Focus, touch [AF] in Step 3 or change the Recording Mode to the Intelligent Auto Mode.

Note

The blue display does not appear on the images actually recorded.
