How to care for and store an iron.

Stay Clean Vents

The built-in Anti Calcium System (Calc Cut) in the Water Tank continuously reduces scale build up in the vaporizing chamber of the iron.

This system makes it possible to use the steam function for a long period of time and prevents steam vents from clogging.


How to Care for your iron after each use.

  1. Press the [ SET ] Pad until the [ OFF ] green light turns on.
  2. Move the [ Steam/Dry ] selector to [ Dry ] position, 
  3. Unplug the Power Plug.
  4. Retract the cord slowly. Always hold the plug and cord with one hand while retracting.

  5. Empty the Water Tank immediately.  Do not store the iron with water inside.
  6. Replace the Cover Case.  Push the cover until you hear a click.

Cleaning the Main Body

  1. After unplugging and cooling the iron with power base, simply wipe off with a damp cloth and if necessary, use a mild detergent.
  2. Never use any harsh cleaners.


Cleaning the Soleplate

  1. Starch and other residue may be easily removed from the Soleplate with a damp cloth.
  2. To avoid scratching the finish, never use a metallic pad to clean the Soleplate, and never place the iron on a rough surface.
  3. The best way to remove adheisive residue from the Soleplate is to iron over an old cotton cloth rag after heating the iron.
  4. Starch and other residue can be easily removed from the soleplate with a damp cloth.

Note

  • Never use cleaners in the iron, since they may damage the working parts of the iron. Some odor may be released during initial use of the iron, however, this is normal and the odor will not attach to your clothes. Never use steam iron detergent in the iron, as they may damage working parts of the iron.
  • To avoid scratching the finish, never use a metallic pad to clean the soleplate, and never place the iron on a rough surface.
  • If Synthetics are being ironed on a high temperature level then instructed , the fabric not only will be damaged , but soleplate will often be covered with the melted remains of the synthetic fabric.
