How to customize the Auto Focus settings for video recording. - DC-GH5, DC-GH5S

Applicable Shooting modes

  Customizing the operation settings of Auto Focus for motion picture recording ([AF Custom Setting(Video)]).  

Setting Autofocus to a custom setting

  1. Press [MENU/SET]
  2. Press [▲ / ▼] to select [Motion Picture]
  3. Press [MENU/SET]
  4. Press [▲ / ▼] to select [AF Custom Setting(Video)]
  5. Press [MENU/SET]
  6. Select your desired setting.
 

Settings Available

  • ON - Records motion pictures using the customized Auto Focus operation settings.
  • OFF - Records motion pictures using the default Auto Focus operation settings.
  • SET
  • [AF Speed] - Sets the speed at which focus moves during Auto Focus. [+] : side: Focus moves at a faster speed. [-] : side: Focus moves at a slower speed.
  • [AF Sensitivity] - Sets the tracking sensitivity of Auto Focus. [+] side: When the distance to the subject changes significantly, the camera immediately readjusts the focus. [-] side: When the distance to the subject changes significantly, the camera waits for a little before readjusting the focus.
 

Not available in these cases

  1. This function is not available in the following cases.
  2. When [Continuous AF] is set to [OFF].
