How to set the display method of Manual Focus (MF) Assist function. - Instructional Video

DC-GH5, DC-GH5S, DC-G9, DC-GX9, DMC-GF7, DC-G100

 
  • Press [MENU] → [Custom] → [Focus / Release Shutter] → [MF Assist]
    • For model DMC-GF7:
      • Press [MENU] → [Custom] → [MF Assist]
    • Available settings vary depending on the lens used.
 
Manual Focus Control Options
[Lens / AF Tracking] The screen is enlarged by operating the lens or by pressing [AF Tracking].
Lens / Focus The screen is enlarged by operating the lens.
[AF Tracking] The screen is enlarged by pressing [AF Tracking]
[OFF] The screen will not be enlarged.
 
Manual Focus Control Options (With lens model H-FS12032 attached)
[ON] Focus can be adjusted when you press [AF Tracking] and the screen that lets you set the area to be focused is displayed.
[OFF] Focus can be adjusted when you press [AF Tracking] and the screen that lets you set the area to be focused is not displayed.
 

MF Assist is not displayed in the following cases

  • When recording motion pictures.
  • When using the Digital Zoom.
  • For models DC-GH5, DC-G9
    • When recording with [6K Pre-Burst]
  • For models DC-GH5, DC-GH5S, DC-G9, DC-GX9, DC-G100
    • When recording with [4K Pre-Burst]
