How to switch between the monitor and viewfinder. - DC-S1, DC-S1R, DC-S1H

With the default settings, automatic viewfinder/monitor switching is set. When you look through the viewfinder, the eye sensor works and the camera switches from monitor display to viewfinder display. You can switch to viewfinder display or monitor display with LVF.

Press [LVF]

Note:

• The eye sensor may not work correctly due to the shape of eyeglasses, the way the camera is held, or bright light shining around the eyepiece.
• The camera does not switch between the viewfinder and monitor automatically during video playback or slide show.
• When the monitor is open, the eye sensor does not work.
• For model DC-S1H: The eye sensor does not work while the monitor is tilted.
• For models DC-S1, DC-S1R: To focus when looking through the viewfinder:
  • [Settings] → [AF] → [Eye Sensor AF]
• For models DC-S1, DC-S1R: The sensitivity of the eye sensor can be changed:
  • [Setup] → [Eye sensor] → [Eye Sensor]
