How to turn on or off a Blu-ray players screen saver.

Model DMP-BD45

1. Press [FUNCTIONS MENU].
2. Select “Other Functions”.
3. Select “Setup".
4. Select "Display" and press [OK]
5. Select "Screen Saver Function"and set to "On".

This is to prevent image retention on the screen.

• When this is set to “On”: If a list of playback content is displayed and there is no operation for 10 minutes or more,  Direct Navigator screen switches to FUNCTIONS screen automatically.
• While playing and pausing, etc., this function is not available.
• As for Music [CD-DA] or MP3, regardless of the setting, if there is no operation for a while, Direct Navigator screen switches to the other states automatically. 

Model DMP-BD60

1. Press [SETUP]
2. Select “Display”.
3. Select "Screen Saver Function" and press [OK] and set to "On".

• When this is set to “On”: the masked-off area on the screen becomes gray. This will occur Only when connecting with an HDMI cable or a component video cable and “HDMI Resolution” is set to any other mode than “480p”, or “Component Video Resolution” is set to “720p” or “1080i”. If there is no operation for 10 minutes or more, the displayed screen switches to the other states automatically when the Direct Navigator or FUNCTIONS menu is displayed, the display returns to the screen saver mode.
• When CD or MP3 is played, the display returns to the screen saver mode. (Playback continues.)
• When still pictures are shown (except for slideshow), the display returns to the Direct Navigator screen.
