Panasonic has released the new firmware update program Ver.1.2 9 Oct 2016) for LUMIX G digital interchangeable lens LUMIX G VARIO 14-140mm / F3.5-5.6 ASPH. / POWER O.I.S. (H-FS14140) and Ver.1.1 for LUMIX G VARIO 12-60mm / F3.5-5.6 ASPH. / POWER O.I.S. (H-FS12060), making them compatible with the latest image stabilizing function 5-Axis Dual I.S. (Image Stabilizer) 2.

The 5-axis Dual I.S. 2 is available when the lenses are used with the LUMIX G80/G81/G85 DSLM (Digital Single Lens Mirrorless) camera. Combining an O.I.S.(Optical Image Stabilizer, 2-axis) and B.I.S.(Body Image Stabilizer, 5-axis), it compensates for larger movements which were conventionally uncontrollable and boasts even more powerful and effective blurring suppression. The 5-axis Dual I.S. 2 works for both photo and motion picture recording, including 4K video.
