How to use the 5 Axis Hybrid OIS. - HC-X1000

The 5-Axis HYBRID O.I.S + lets you capture crisp clean images, without blurring, in almost every shooting situation.

• Roll Rotation
  • Used for shooting while walking. Blurring in the roll direction from shooting while walking is suppressed to produce truly beautiful images.
• Wrist Movements
  • Across the entire shooting range. Detected blurring caused by vertical or horizontal wrist movements is corrected using a lens in the optical system.
• Arm Movements
  • For zooming. All area of the sensor that are not used for zooming are electronically controlled to compensate for handshake.

To turn OIS on, press the [OIS] Button. When OIS is turned on, [O.I.S] is displayed. When Hybrid OIS is turned on, [Hybrid O.I.S] is displayed. To turn on Hybrid OIS on (While OIS is on):

1. Press [MENU].
2. Using the touch screen tap [RECORD SETUP].
3. Press [▲ / ▼] to scroll to and select [HYBRID O.I.S].
4. Tap [ON].
5. Tap [EXIT].

Note: When the [REC FORMAT] is set to C4K (4096x21600 or 4K (3640x2160) Hybrid O.I.S is set to off.
