Is it okay to use therapeutic heating bags that are used for muscular pain relief in my microwave oven?

Panasonic North America does not recommend placing non-food items such as therapeutic heating bags in your microwave oven.

Although many are often filled with oat grains or dry beans, overheating cause the product to smoke or catch fire.

If you do choose to place a heating bag in your microwave oven please exercise caution and follow the manufacturer's.

Ensure recommended settings are followed and do not leave your microwave oven unattended while heating them. Most manufacturer's have explicit instructions on how often they can be used and the approximate number of times they can be safely used before they should be discarded.
