Troubleshooting - Amazon Prime Video no longer operates on my televison / Blu-ray player.
On August 28, 2019 Amazon terminated the Amazon Prime Video
service app on all brands of older televisions and blu-ray
players in the USA.
Products manufactured before 2013 are affected.
Apps such as Amazon Prime Video are provided by third parties. The owner of that service makes the decision of whether to continue its service; Amazon made the decision to end its support.
If your Television is a 2014 model or newer confirm you have the latest Firmware Update on the television.
Ensure that you are not using the same account on multiple devices - you can only stream the same title to two devices at a time.
Pause other Internet activity – especially if other devices are using the network at the same time.
Check your Internet connection.
For Products manufactured before 2013 to continue to use Amazon Prime Video connect a Amazon Prime Video compatible computer, smartphone, tablet, blu-ray disc player and/or media streaming device to your TV. This way you can watch Amazon Prime Video content on the affected TV.
