A Bluetooth® device is connected but audio cannot be heard.

If your Panasonic Bluetooth® audio product (earphones, speakers, or stereo system) is connected, but you cannot hear any sound, follow these troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue.

1. Check the Bluetooth® Device Volume & Settings

  • Ensure that the volume on your Bluetooth® device (phone, tablet, or PC) is turned up.
  • Try adjusting the volume on both the device and the Panasonic Bluetooth® system.
  • If using earphones, check if the earbuds are properly seated in your ears.

2. Verify Audio Output Selection

Some devices may require manual selection of the audio output when connected via Bluetooth®.

For Smartphones, Tablets, and PCs:

  • Windows PC: Go to Sound Settings > Output Device , and select your Panasonic Bluetooth® device as the active audio source.
  • Mac: Open System Settings > Sound > Output , and select your Bluetooth® speaker or headphones.
  • iPhone/iPad: Swipe down from the top-right corner and check the AirPlay/Bluetooth® audio output settings.
  • Android: Check the Bluetooth® settings and ensure the correct device is set as the audio output.

For TVs & Other Audio Systems:

  • Go to your TV or audio system settings and confirm that the Bluetooth® device is selected as the audio output.
  • On some TVs, the internal speaker may need to be disabled for Bluetooth® audio output to work.

3. Check for Active Connections & Multipoint Settings

  • If your device supports Multipoint Bluetooth® (connection to multiple devices at the same time), ensure that the correct device is actively playing audio.
  • If your audio product is connected to multiple devices, disconnect unused devices and try again.

4. Reconnect the Bluetooth® Device

Try the following steps:

  • Disconnect and reconnect the Bluetooth® device.
  • If the issue persists, turn off Bluetooth® on the device and the audio system.
  • Restart both the device and the audio system, then reconnect.

5. Reset the Bluetooth® Connection

  • Forget the Panasonic Bluetooth® device from your phone, tablet, or PC’s Bluetooth® settings.
  • Re-pair the device by following the pairing instructions in your Operating Manual .

6. Check Firmware & Device Updates

7. Interference & Distance Considerations

  • Ensure that your Bluetooth® device is within range (typically 10 meters / 33 feet).
  • Reduce interference from Wi-Fi routers, microwaves, or other Bluetooth® devices operating nearby.
  • If using earphones, make sure there is no obstruction between the device and the earbuds.

8. Try a Different Bluetooth® Device

  • Test your Panasonic Bluetooth® audio product with a different smartphone, tablet, or PC to determine if the issue is specific to one device.
  • If audio works on another device, the issue may be with the original device's Bluetooth® settings or software.

9. Perform a Factory Reset (If Available)

  • Some Panasonic Bluetooth® products support a factory reset, which restores the device to its original settings.
  • Refer to your Operating Manual for reset instructions.
