Troubleshooting - Homehawk front door camera battery life is too short.

The homehawk front door camera will provide approx. 3 months usage per charge when the camera is used for 5 minutes a day.


The camera only operates when motion is detected or the camera is accessed from a smart phone.


However, if the camera detects movement more frequently the battery usage per charge will be less.


Proper positioning of the camera is important for full charge usage. The picture below shows the side view of the Front door camera.

If the camera is not placed correctly, the camera's sensors will detect a very long range.


If there is a drive way in front of the frontdoor, the camera will detect all the passing cars and the battery life will become short.

The PIR sensor detect the variation of temperature . The moving car's temperature is higher than the air temperature, so the PIR sensor will detect all the passing cars if the camera was placed NG position below.


This diagram shows a improperly placed camera. Battery life will be shorter.
