Troubleshooting - Iron has no power

If your iron has no power,

here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:

  1. Check Power Source: Ensure that the iron is plugged into a functioning power outlet. Try plugging another device into the same outlet to verify if it's working.
  2. Cord Inspection: Examine the power cord for any signs of damage such as fraying, cuts, or exposed wires. If the cord is damaged, it may need to be repaired or replaced.
  3. Fuse or Circuit Breaker: Check if the circuit breaker or fuse for the outlet has tripped. Reset the breaker or replace the fuse if necessary.
  4. Iron Settings: Make sure that the iron is set to the appropriate temperature and steam settings. Some irons may not turn on if the settings are too low.
  5. Safety Features: Many irons have built-in safety features such as auto shut-off mechanisms. Ensure that the iron is not in the auto shut-off mode or that the safety features have not been activated unintentionally. Turn the iron off, unplug, plug back in and turn on again.
  6. Cordless models, Check Battery: Ensure that the battery is adequately charged. Connect the iron to its charging base or plug it into a power source to charge the battery fully. Refer to the operating instructions for the recommended charging time.
  7. Cordless models, Charging Connection: Verify that the iron is properly connected to the charging base or plugged into a power source. Ensure that the charging cable is securely connected to both the iron and the power outlet or charging base.

If none of the above steps resolve the issue, there may be an internal problem with the iron. In this case, it's best to contact an authorized Panasonic Servicenter for advise.
