Troubleshooting - No Power on a DVD Player / Recorder

Try the following:

• Plug the power cord into another power receptacle.
• Check connections to the AC adaptor or battery pack.
• If using a power strip or surge protector bypass that device for this test.
• Check the wall receptacle with a lamp or other small appliance to verify power is available. (Keep in mind that some outlets may have a ground fault circuit interrupter that needs to be reset or a light switch the must be turned on to allow power to the outlet.)
• If no power is coming from the outlet check the circuit breaker or fuse box of your home to make sure that none of the breakers have been tripped.
• [DVD-LS82] You cannot turn on the unit with the remote control if the unit is powered by the battery pack.
• The unit has protection circuitry that is activated if it becomes too hot or too cold. The unit will not work if this occurs. Use the unit between 5 °C and 35 °C.
