Troubleshooting - The inside of the inner pan has started to peel.

This does not interfere with normal use.

Although rice has a greater tendency to stick when the fluorine coating of the inner pan peels, you can be assured that it does not interfere with functionality or sanitation. Even if you accidentally eat the peelings with the rice, none remains in the body because it is excreted without any absorption.

  • The fluorine coating of the inner pan could peel if it is scratched regardless of how long the unit has been used.
  • Washing the rice pan In the following case, please note that the fluorine coating could peel easily.
  • Washing the inner pan with a metal or nylon scrub brush or with the scouring pad side of a sponge could wear down the fluorine coat, causing it to peel. Please use a soft sponge to clean the inner pan.
  • Using vinegar, soy sauce, or other acidic or salty seasonings frequently can cause the fluorine coating to peel.
  • If rice seasoned with pickled plum, vinegar, soy sauce, or other acidic or salty seasonings is kept warm, this could cause the fluorine coating of the inner pan to erode.
  • If you put spoons or other cutlery into the inner pan during washing, such items in contact with the fluorine coating could wear the coating down, or impact could cause the fluorine coating to peel.
  • Strong impact to the fluorine coating could cause scratches, causing the coating to peel.
