Troubleshooting - There is an abnormal color shown on the TV screen and no audio when a blu-ray player is connected to HDMI 4.

In order to provide enough bandwidth for current and future 4K resolution, this television is equipped with one HDMI Ver.2 input (HDMI 4) for connection with devices outputting 4K contents.

If the HDMI 4 input is connected to blu-ray players with certain chipset, an incompatibility may occur.

Troubleshooting

  1. Connect your blu-ray player  to the TV's HDMI 1, HDMI 2 or HDMI 3 input. Is the colour and sound correct? If yes, contact the manufacturer of the blu-ray player for a fix by firmware update.
  2. Alternately, leave the blu-ray player connected to one of the HDMI inputs that works.
  3. If the connected blu-ray player is a Panasonic model (e.g. DMP-BDT230/330...),  Updating the blu-ray player to the latest firmware will correct the video issue when using the TV's HDMI 4 input.  Firmware updates are available from our Global Support Site.
