Troubleshooting - Will I damage the batteries by keeping the phone on the charger?

No. The batteries that come with your telephone do not suffer from the same memory effect that older batteries used to have. It is safe to keep the handset on the charger whenever it is not in use.

Use only the Nickel Metal Hydride rechargeable batteries.

Never use Alkaline or any other types as these could damage your handset.
