Troubleshooting - The television is frozen / locked up.

The television is frozen/locked up

Try the following to restore the television operation. 



LCD + LED TV

  1. Unplug the television from the electric outlet for 1 minute. Plug back in and test. 
  2. Unplug the television from the electric outlet for 1 minute. Unplug all external devices connected to the television. Plug the television back in to the electrical outlet (with no external devices connected. and test. If the television now operates, you may have a problem with one of the external devices. Plug the devices back in one at a time to determine the source of the problem. 
  3. Reset the television.
    • The reset method is not for the following models TC-xxAS530, TC-xxCX400, TC-xxCX420.
To Reset by buttons on TV and Remote
  1. Television power should be on. 
  2. Hold [VOL - ] ON TELEVISION & [MENU] ON REMOTE for more than five seconds. 
  3. To exit - disconnect the AC line.
 

If the television is still frozen, contact a Panasonic Authorized servicenter.

 

OLED TV

 

Try the following to restore the television operation. 

 
  1. Unplug the television from the electric outlet for 1 minute. Plug back in and test. 
  2. Unplug the television from the electric outlet for 1 minute. Unplug all external devices connected to the television. Plug the television back in to the electrical outlet (with no external devices connected. and test. If the television now operates, you may have a problem with one of the external devices. Plug the devices back in one at a time to determine the source of the problem. 
  3. Reset the television.
To Reset by buttons on TV and Remote.
  1. Television power should be on. 
  2. Hold [VOL - ] ON TELEVISION & [MENU] ON REMOTE for more than five seconds. 
  3. To exit - disconnect the AC line
 

If the television is still frozen, contact a Panasonic Authorized servicenter.

 

Plasma TV

 

Try the following to restore the television operation.

 
  1. Unplug the television from the electric outlet for 1 minute. Plug back in and test. 
  2. Unplug the television from the electric outlet for 1 minute. Unplug all external devices connected to the television. Plug the television back in to the electrical outlet (with no external devices connected. and test. If the television now operates, you may have a problem with one of the external devices. Plug the devices back in one at a time to determine the source of the problem.
  3. Reset the television.
    • The reset is not for models: CX400, CX420, AS530, GT30, ST60 and PX60 series.
To Reset by buttons on TV and Remote.
  1. Television power should be on. 
  2. Hold [VOL - ] ON TELEVISION & [MENU] ON REMOTE for more than five seconds. 
  3. To exit - disconnect the AC line
 

Reset Method for model TH-xxPX60.

  1. To Reset by buttons on TV and Remote.
  2. Television power should be on.
  3. Press and Hold the [VOL - ] on the television with the [SLEEP] button pulsating simultaneously (the same time) on the TV remote for more than five seconds.
  4. To exit - disconnect the AC line.

If the television is still frozen, contact a Panasonic Authorized servicenter.
