To change the drive mode, rotate the drive mode dial to your desired mode

Icon Drive Mode Description
Single Shot Mode Icon Single Shooting When the shutter button is pressed, only one picture is recorded.
Burst Mode Icon Burst Shooting Recordings are made in succession while the shutter button is pressed.
4K Photo Icon 4K Photo When the shutter button is pressed, a 4K photo is recorded.
Post Focus Icon Post Focus When the shutter button is pressed, the pictures are recorded with [Post Focus].
Self-Timer Icon Self-Timer When the shutter button is pressed, recording takes place after the set time has elapsed.

Changing the drive mode settings

  1. Press the ▼ (Burst Timer) button on the control dial.
  2. Press ◄ / ► to select the drive mode, and then press [MENU / SET].
    • To cancel the drive mode: select [Single Shot Mode] or [Burst Timer Mode Off].
    • You can also cancel the self-timer by turning off the camera. (When [Self Timer Auto Off] is set to [ON].)
  3. Focus on the subject and take a picture.

Available Drive Modes
Drive Mode Description
[Single] When the shutter button is pressed, only one picture is recorded.
[Burst] The pictures are recorded in succession while the shutter button is pressed.
[4K Photo] When the shutter button is pressed, a 4K photo is recorded.
[Auto Bracket]* Each time the shutter button is pressed, the pictures are recorded with different exposure settings based on the Exposure Compensation range.
[Self Timer] When the shutter button is pressed, recording takes place after the set time has elapsed.
[Post Focus] When the shutter button is pressed, the pictures are recorded with post focus.
*Cannot be set when using Intelligent Auto Mode.

High Resolution Mode This merges pictures with a high resolution from multiple recorded images.
Self Timer When the shutter button is pressed, recording takes place after the set time is elapsed.
Time Lapse / Stop Motion Animation Pictures are recorded with intervals between them. This interval is can be manually set.

You can register functions to Fn buttons:

  • Select [Settings] → [Dial Rotation] → [Fn Button Set] → [Setting in REC mode] → [Drive Mode Setting]
