How to pair a Bluetooth® device - Audio Stereo - Speaker Products
By using the Bluetooth® connection, you can listen to the sound from a Bluetooth® audio device wirelessly.
The audio device must first be paired with the Panasonic audio system.
Preparation
Turn on the Bluetooth® feature of the device and place the device near the Panasonic audio system.
The pairing instructions vary by model. Select your model from the list below for specific programming instructions.
If your model is not listed refer to "Bluetooth® in your models Operating Manual for specific procedure.
Model RX-D550
To Pair using the remote control
- Press the Bluetooth® button, to select "BLUETOOTH".
- If “PAIRING” is indicated on the display, go to step 3.
- Press the [PLAY MENU] button to select "PAIRING" and then press [OK].
- Select "RX-D550" from the Bluetooth® device's Bluetooth® menu.
- The MAC address (alpha-numerical string that is unique to each set) may be displayed before “RX-D550” is displayed.
- The name of the connected device is indicated on the display for a few seconds.
- Start playback on the Bluetooth® device.
To Pair from the main unit
- Press the Bluetooth® [ -Pairing-PAIRING] button to switch to Bluetooth mode.
- Press and hold the Bluetooth® [ -Pairing] button on the unit until "PAIRING" appears.
- Select "RX-D550" from the Bluetooth® device's Bluetooth® menu.
- The MAC address (alpha-numerical string that is unique to each set) may be displayed before “RX-D550” is displayed.
- The name of the connected device is indicated on the display for a few seconds.
- Start playback on the Bluetooth® device.
Note
- If prompted for the passkey, input “0000”.
- You can register up to 8 devices with this unit. If a 9th device is paired, the device that has not been used the longest will be replaced.
- This unit can only be connected to one device at a time.
- When “BLUETOOTH” is selected as the source, this unit will automatically try and connect to the last connected Bluetooth® device. (“LINKING” is indicated on the display during this process.) If the connection attempt fails, try to establish a connection again.

Model SC-AKX18
If this system is connected to a Bluetooth® device, disconnect it.
To Pair using the remote control
- Press the Bluetooth® button. If “PAIRING” is indicated on the display, go to step 4.
- Press the [PLAY MENU] button to select "PAIRING".
- Press the arrow up ▲ or down ▼ to select "OK? YES" and then press [OK]. "PAIRING" is shown.
- Select the model number of the Panasonic unit, example SC-AKX18, from the Bluetooth® menu
of the Bluetooth device.
- If prompted for the passkey, input “0000”.
- The device connects with this system automatically after pairing is complete.
- The name of the connected device is indicated on the display for a few seconds.
- Start playback on the Bluetooth® device.
To Pair from the main unit
- Press the Bluetooth® button. If “PAIRING” is indicated on the display, go to step 3.
- Press and hold the Bluetooth® [ -Pairing] button on the unit until "PAIRING" appears.
- Select the model number of the Panasonic unit, example SC-AKX18, from the Bluetooth® menu
of the Bluetooth device.
- If prompted for the passkey, input “0000”.
- The device connects with this system automatically after pairing is complete.
- The name of the connected device is indicated on the display for a few seconds.
- Start playback on the Bluetooth® device.

- The name of the connected device is indicated on the display for a few seconds.
- Start playback on the Bluetooth® device.
To Pair from the main unit
- Press and hold the Bluetooth® [ -Pairing] button on the unit until "PAIRING" appears.
- Select the model number of the Panasonic unit, example SC-AKX640, from the Bluetooth® menu
of the Bluetooth device.
- If prompted for the passkey, input “0000”.
- The device connects with this system automatically after pairing is complete.
- The name of the connected device is indicated on the display for a few seconds.
- Start playback on the Bluetooth® device.

- The name of the connected device is indicated on the display for a few seconds.

- Press the Power button to turn this unit on.
- The Bluetooth® indicator blinks slowly.
- If this unit is being used for the first time (factory preset state): The Bluetooth® indicator blinks fast. The unit will enter pairing standby. go to step 3.
- Press and hold the [PAIRING] button until the Bluetooth® indicator blinks fast. The unit will enter pairing standby.
- Select "strong>SC-NP10" from the Bluetooth® menu of the device.
- If prompted for the passkey, input “0000”.
- The device connects with this system automatically after pairing is complete.
- The name of the connected device is indicated on the display for a few seconds.
- Start playback on the Bluetooth® device.
